中国農業科学院（CAAS）ハルビン獣医研究所（HVRI）の国家禽流感参考実験室は、中国の鳥インフルエンザ研究の中心を担うと同時に、国際獣疫事務局（OIE）が指定する高病原性鳥インフルエンザリファレンスラボラトリーとして世界に貢献している。ハルビン拠点では、HVRIの陳研究員と医科研の河岡教授のグループが共同研究を行っている。
Established under the auspices of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), Harbin Veterinary Research Institute (HVRI) is home to the National Avian Influenza Reference Laboratory. It is a designated World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) Reference Laboratory that tackles scientific and technical problems related to both highly pathogenic and low pathogenic avian inf luenza. Prof. Hualan Chen of HVRI and Prof. Yoshihiro Kawaoka of IMSUT conduct joint research on influenza.
