日中分子免疫学・分子微生物学連携研究室(LMIMM)が設置されている中国科学院微生物研究所(IMCAS)は1958年に設立され、基礎および応用微生物学の中心的研究施設であり、国内最大規模の微生物保存施設を保有する。LMIMMは日本人主任研究者グループと２名の中国人主任研究者達のグループから構成されている。
Institute of Microbiology, established 1958, is the leading institute for basic and applied microbiology and contains the biggest specimen and culture collections of microorganisms in China. The institute hosts the China-Japan Joint Laboratory of Molecular Immunology and Molecular Microbiology (LMIMM) consisting of three research groups: one led by a Japanese PI (T. Ishida) and two by Chinese PIs (W. Liu; Bin Gao).
