Japan-China Joint Laboratory of Molecular Immunology and Molecular Microbiology (LMIMM) moved into a brand new building together with the whole IMCAS. IMCAS was established in 1958 and the institute had new Director General, Professor George F. Gao in 2005.

LMIMM is equipped with a culture fascility, etc. Under the leadership of Director General George F. Gao, IMCAS and LMIMM have three collaborating hospitals in Beijing.
